La Salle blanks Connell

CONNELL — Stephanie Wytko scored two goals and assisted on another as La Salle remained unbeaten in SCAC soccer action with a 3-0 defeat of Connell on Tuesday on the Eagles’ field.

The win improved the Lightning to 8-0 in league play while Connell dropped to 6-1.

La Salle hosts Highland (7-1) at 1 p.m. Saturday at Marquette Stadium.

Wytko scored an unassisted goal in the first half. Ally Hernandez made it 2-0 early in the second half off Wytko’s assist and Wytko added a third score in the 80th minute.

Chelsea Adkins made three saves for the shutout.
